Black widows are famous for the colored, hourglass-shaped mark on their abdomens. They are considered to be one of the most poisonous spiders in North America. Males are half the size of women black widow spiders, and are considered harmless. Also, black widow spiders are found in dark places like shades or piles, and create their webs close to the ground.
